My name is Curran Parker. I am a junior here at Northwest University, and I am a survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Refractory disease. This disease had an 80% chance of killing me, but because of God’s overflow of love I am alive today. Even though God uses miraculous ways of healing all the time, we also believe that He gives doctors and scientists the power to heal the sick and find new ways of curing people. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is an organization that for over 60 years has funded research and spread hope to families and patients of Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and Myeloma. The week of November 5th – 9th, my team and I will be sitting outside of chapel and the HSC building handing out flyers and information from our booths, on how you can get involved in incredible and inspiring events that help fund the fight against cancer. I am alive because of people who stepped up to fight alongside with me. Come see how you can get involved in the fight against cancer and become a champion for the cure.
